Perdue Farms Part of Animals & Us Series Highlighting No Antibiotics Ever Journey

June 18, 2026

Salisbury, Md. (June 18, 2026) — Perdue Farms is proud to be part of Animals & Us, a new series presented by the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH) and produced for WOAH by BBC StoryWorks Commercial Productions. The series explores the deep connections between animals, people, and the environments we share, and how these relationships are shaping the world.

This branded content series comes at a time when WOAH’s 2026 State of the World’s Animal Health report is drawing attention to the critical role animal health plays in protecting communities worldwide. With around 60% of known human infectious diseases originating in animals, and animal health receiving as little as 0.6% of global health spending, Animals & Us explores what prevention, innovation, and resilience can look like on the ground.

Through inspiration stories, including Perdue’s No Antibiotics Ever (NAE) journey, the series introduces viewers to the innovators working to strengthen and protect this connection between animals and humans across the globe. Perdue’s participation includes both a short documentary film and a companion feature article exploring the company’s decades-long transition to No Antibiotics Ever and the practices that support bird health today.

Perdue’s feature showcases the long-term transformation behind raising chickens without the routine use of antibiotics. Driven by evolving consumer expectations and a commitment to responsible food production, Perdue began removing antibiotics from its poultry operations more than 20 years ago—a decision that reshaped how the company cares for birds, partners with farmers, and invests in animal health.

Animals & Us brings viewers inside this journey through the voices of Perdue veterinarians, farmers, and animal care leaders, showing how practical changes have helped advance animal welfare while supporting responsible antibiotic stewardship.

The series highlights organizations and communities around the world working to advance animal health, strengthen resilience, and explore solutions to shared global challenges. Perdue’s participation underscores the company’s belief that what animals eat and how they are raised matters, and that transparency and continuous improvement are essential to building trust.

“Our No Antibiotics Ever journey began with a commitment to raise chickens differently, but over time it has reinforced something we know to be true: animal health, human health, and environmental health are interconnected,” said Dr. Bruce Stewart-Brown, Chief Science Officer at Perdue Farms. “This work requires continuous learning, innovation, and collaboration, and we're pleased to help highlight that broader conversation through Animals & Us.”
