Perdue Farms Supports Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia with Food, Funding and Volunteer Service
Macon, Georgia (July 16, 2026) — Through its Delivering Hope To Our Neighbors® outreach, Perdue Farms is helping strengthen the Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia through protein donations, grant funding, and volunteer service—helping provide meals, create safe outdoor play spaces for children, and strengthen support for local families.
On Tuesday, Perdue donated the equivalent of 3,500 meals of nutritious chicken to support the Mission’s weekly meal program for residents and the Middle Georgia community. Volunteers from the company’s Perry, Georgia, operations also served meals alongside Mission staff. In addition, the Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, the company’s charitable giving partner, awarded a $20,000 grant to help build a new playground, creating a safe and welcoming space where kids can play, heal, and simply be kids.
Pat Chastain, CEO of Rescue Mission of Middle Georgia, said the organization serves men, women, and children through a 12-month recovery program that supports individuals experiencing addiction, domestic violence, abuse, homelessness, poverty, and other life challenges.
