Associates in Perry, Ga., contributed a record $182,514 to the United Way of Central Georgia.

Perdue Farms’ Perry, Ga., Associates Deliver Record $182,514 To United Way of Central Georgia

Salisbury, Md. (Monday, February 10, 2020) — Associates from Perdue Farms’ operations in Perry, Ga., recently presented a check for a record $182,514.22 to the United Way of Central Georgia. The contribution, a 20 percent increase from last year, included $166,514.22 in associate contributions and a $16,000 grant provided by the Franklin P. and Arthur W. Perdue Foundation, the charitable giving arm of Perdue Farms. Perdue employs 2,400 associates in Perry.

“Year after year, our associates give freely through our United Way pledge campaign in support of our neighbors in our communities. I’m extremely proud of them for their amazing generosity,” said Craig Pugh, a Perdue director of operations in Perry. “United Way has been instrumental in helping to improve the quality of life for so many people. At Perdue, we remain committed to supporting United Way because, together, we are able to do so much more.”

The Perdue campaign allowed associates to use a simple payroll deduction process to individually support United Way and its partner agencies.

Since 2007, Perdue associates have delivered more than $1,540,000 to support United Way of Central Georgia.
